So young yet so worried

As a 16 year old, I still have a lot of time to live my life right? I’m supposed to live my life with no worries because I don’t have to pay rent or work everyday. So why is it that everywhere I go, I am surrounded with unhappy teenagers who have no idea what they are doing with their lives and are suicidal. Is it just the state of our current society that makes us teenagers worry about having to be a part of the future of this messed up world? Or is it people’s expectations that are weighing on us?
