Hey guys,

Recently, I went to the Centre Pompidou here in Paris to attend the highly anticipated Tadao Ando exhibition. If you don't know him, Tadao Ando is a self-taught Japanese architect. When I was 8 years old and living in Bhutan, I watched a documentary about him and his works inspired me to become an architect and to learn Japanese. It felt a bit surreal to be back in that world 10 years later, now fluent in Japanese.

I may not (probably not) become an architect but I feel proud and honored to have been inspired to complete one of my lifelong goals in such a short time. It feels even crazier because my move to Japan in 2010 was completely coincidental and actually led to my creation of this blog. To my loyal readers, thank you if you have stuck with me for the past 8 years, reading about my travels and adventures.
